The Josefina Belmonte Duran Albay Provincial Hospital (JBDAPH) in Ligao City has officially received its newly delivered Fujifilm Supria 32-slice CT scanner, supplied and installed by DigiMed Medical Systems, Inc., the authorized channel partner of Fujifilm Healthcare Philippines.
Governor Noel E. Rosal led the inspection of the new CT scanner on October 21, 2025, confirming its readiness for Department of Health (DOH) Permit to Operate (PTO) application. The delivery is aligned with the soft opening of JBDAPH’s new facility scheduled for November 26, 2025.

CT System Now in Place
The Fujifilm Supria 32-slice CT is a compact, high-performance scanner designed for efficient, low-dose imaging. With this new unit in place, JBDAPH is expected to significantly improve its diagnostic capabilities, especially for trauma, stroke, chest, and abdominal scans.
The CT room has been fully installed and tested, with JBDAPH’s radiology staff now undergoing equipment orientation and operational training. The hospital is preparing for the final steps of regulatory clearance and service roll-out.

DigiMed’s Role
DigiMed handled the turnkey delivery and setup of the imaging system, including logistical coordination, technical installation, and site compatibility assessment. The company continues to provide full support for JBDAPH’s radiology team, ensuring seamless handover and system performance.
As a nationwide partner of Fujifilm Healthcare Philippines, DigiMed supplies diagnostic imaging systems to both public and private hospitals across the country — with after-sales support, warranty coverage, and preventive maintenance as part of its long-term commitment.
Impact on Healthcare Access
Once operational, the CT scanner will reduce the need for Albay residents to seek diagnostic imaging services outside the province. JBDAPH will be able to accommodate both inpatients and outpatients, with imaging services integrated into the hospital’s workflow and aligned with PhilHealth and government healthcare programs.
